Update needed...

Wow who knew married life would be so busy that I would never have enough time to blog...ok so I knew it would probably be like this way but now that I have some time I better give a few updates! Well the year ended off a little rough with my grandma's battle of cancer coming to an end. To be honest I knew that it would be hard having her gone but seriously, it is really hard. I miss her a lot and wish she would still be around for all of the family parties and just when I want to go give her a hug and make a joke. The Utah Vs. BYU game was really hard to listen to (we were in the car) I never thought that I would cry at a football game but I did as BYU was about to win...and then when Utah ended up pulling together I started to chuckle because I could just see my grandma yelling at the tv. It has been sad and hard not having her around but I know she is in a better place and that I will one day be with her again.

Some good things did happen as we wrapped up the year though...we were able to take a train to the North Pole where I was able to tell the man who held the microphone up to my mouth "Don't make me sing"..then when he came around again I got to sing really high and have him think I was crazy! After Santa Clause (not just any Santa but the REAL one) we went to Midway and stayed the night. It was a blast! Thanks Santa and family oh and Grandma Wortley!

Like other years in the past I have struggled with New Years Eve because I would never get my kiss, the only thing that kept me going was trying to be happy because it was Bryon Russell's birthday.....BUT last year really turned my New Years experience around because it was last year that I made contact with my future husband at the time so this New Years we celebrated with Trev's family and my parents! We played Kinect for most the night and tape ball..it was so much fun! My mother being the cute woman that she is finds joy in mine and Trevor's relationship so she made homemade oreos which were the cookies that we had the first day we met and at our reception! They were delicious!!

Now the months are flying and we are already in March! Trevor and I are trying to manage our time wisely and do all that we need to do! We have started to make friends around where we live and are having a lot of fun! I am still trying to work on my cooking and well you might just have to ask Trevor how that is going :/ haha! We have found a new tv show that we love to watch....MODERN FAMILY! It is hilarious and is one of the many things that we look forward to each and every week!

Now here are some pics to maybe help this post be a little more entertaining...

This is how I like to remember my gma..happy and this pic is also for my mom..she loves it and I love it too because my mom looks gorgeous!
Trevor trained a dragon a little bit ago and I am so proud of him...
This pic is from Thanksgiving...it was forever ago but seemed like yesterday
I went dark for a bit...no worries I won't do that again
I really love specialty drinks..virgin ones
This is when we went to the North Pole...the hot chocolate was delicious
For Valentine's day I said that I didn't want flowers so this is what I got to come home to.. Trevs decided to make me burberry flowers..my favorite
He also surprised me with these sweet shoes because I have been trying to work out more...they are awesome and make me feel like I am working out bare foot
Just a fun pic to prove I am blonde again...
Last weekend we had Mason over for a sleep over...I had a blast with him but I think Trevs had a little more fun...

  1. Thank you for taking the time to blog! I too never thought I would miss Big G the way I do. I still have dreams about her and yesterday I was listening to Mr. Hanity and wanted to cry. I love that you got to say, "Don't make me sing!" haha I guess I forgot that 12/31 is B-Russ' bday. I can't believe you didn't say anything about the other #3. Geez it’s like he is dead to you. oh was that a faux pas? Um what newlywed gets a Burberry scarf and sweet new shoes? You married well my dear. Love ya
