Exciting News!!...No I am not pregnant

Before I start talking about my exciting news there are a couple of things that happened before that...  We had a great Memorial weekend driving to Orangeville to visit family graves where I was able to make the connection that somewhere down the line I could be related to the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty!  We also were able to paint our fence, do some yard work, and end the day with some shopping and dinner in Park City!
On Friday, we were able to celebrate our friend Sara's Bday with dinner at PF Changs and then we finished the night off with S'mores!

Without even planning it, my friend Cassie and I were twins with our outfits!

Now time for my exciting news.... Drum Roll Please...... I HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG!!! Wahoo! I am so excited and can't wait to add my logo to it but for now it is kind of plain...oh well it is still way fun to see things falling into place where I want them to for my future!!  Go check out my new blog here and let me know what you think!

Another Semester Down and Only One More to Go...

Well I can't believe it...I only have one semester left!!  I am so excited to graduate and never have to do homework again!!  I also find it hard to believe that the last post I did was our China trip which now seems like forever ago!  The semester was a crazy one but Trevor and I were still able to enjoy ourselves a little bit!

Mason my nephew got baptized and I am so proud of him!  He is a wonderful eight year old who had to grow up faster than most eight year olds and he continues to impress me every day!

We had another amazing Easter brunch at the Grand America, thanks to Grandma Wortley!

Just before the semester ended we had to take the time to go shooting when the weather started to warm up with some of our good friends!

Our friend Cassie had a birthday dinner where we had to wait forever for a table so we decided to take some pics!

The incredible Teagan was a brave boy when he had his heart cath to prepare for his open heart surgery  on July 9th.

Well a lot more happened during the semester but there are no pics to show us staying up late to do homework or taking breaks to watch our favorite show Duck Dynasty and my favorite show Downton Abbey!

Unfortunately, Trevor will be taking classes but we will try to have some fun too this summer!  The two most exciting things that will be happening this summer will be Chelsee, Matt, and Scout coming to Utah and also starting my photography business!  Infinity Photo is my photography business and I already have photo shoots set up!  If any one actually reads this and needs pictures let me know!  I am just starting out so I am cheap and I need the practice!!  I am looking forward to this summer and I hope it will be a good one!!

The End of 2012...

The end of 2012 was extra good to us so I thought I should show and tell you what we did!

This handsome man is my cousin who is now serving a mission in Washington DC but before he left I had the opportunity to take his mission pictures so here are few to show you...

In December Chelsee, Matt, and Scout came to Utah!!!  We had so much fun spending the short time we had with them and celebrating an early Chrismas with my family before we went to China!!

Trevor's grandma took the Wortley's (all 28 of us) on a cruise that started out to be freezing then super hot! We went to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore!  Before we got on the ship we were in Beijing to see the Great Wall!  We had such a blast in China and especially enjoyed Hong Kong and Singapore!! I also really enjoyed when a lot of the people thought that I was famous!  They would take pictures with me and one person even asked if I knew Lady Gaga!

Beijing where it was freezing and had an interesting smell...

The Great Wall, our tour guide told us that the weather that day hit a record for the coldest it had been in a really really long time, of course it had to be the day we were there...

Hong Kong, every night they have a laser light show off the buildings.  Hong Kong was such a cool city...

My hair was really struggling this day with the wind...In Hong Kong one second you would be surrounded by huge buildings then the next second you would be surrounded by trees and gardens...

We were able to find the Hong Kong Temple, too bad it was a Monday so no one was around and we couldn't go inside but the outside was amazing...

Vietnam, of course we had to buy these hats just to take a picture....

One of the seven wonders of the world Ha Long Bay...

This was a common sight in Vietnam...

Thailand, really hot but we still had so much fun...

That is correct, we rode elephants in Thailand!  The scarf around my head (that is falling out) was my grandma's, she loved elephants so I thought it would be neat to wear it for her that day...

Singapore, even hotter than Thailand but so so clean!! Everything was so nice and looked like it was built yesterday...

We are sad that we missed Mr. and Mrs. Mathewson's amazing wedding and other family events but we are also very grateful to Grandma Wortley for such a fabulous trip!!

My Heart is Full....

My heart is full as I reflect on this last weekend.  I must say that I was very impressed with this General Conference.  I always look forward to conference weekend and it always turns out even better than I could have imagined.  Watching general conference brings such an amazing spirit as I know that each speaker has been called by our Heavenly Father as they speak the words that people need to hear. I am grateful to be able to sit on my couch with sweats on and watch all of the sessions on TV.  I must say that I am already looking forward to April for the next conference!

The main reason why my heart is full is the recent news that I heard from my sister Brytten and the CHD world.  One of the precious little girls that belonged to Teagan's heart group returned home to our loving Heavenly after her body rejected her transplant that she received when she was a baby.  Precious Mia was only 4 years old and was on her to way to Disney World with her family when she got sick.  My heart breaks every time I hear of a heart angel but this one hit me a little harder because while looking at her picture that my sister had posted, I suddenly realized that I had met her.  A little while ago I went to help my sister at Heart Camp where a lot of heart families go every year to bond with the other heart families.  While the heart parents attended a meeting, I had the opportunity to be in charge of a group of the little kids.  In that group was cute little Mia and I remember her standing out to me.  She wanted me to help her with the activities that we were doing and I remember her asking me to get her a drink.  When I brought back her drink, she looked up at me and just smiled and said thank you.  At Heart Camp I remember thinking she was just an adorable girl who had this wonderful spirit about her and a girl that I would see again at another heart function.  Unfortunately, I won't be seeing her at another heart function but I am happy that she is now in such a wonderful place with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

This sad experience has made me extra grateful for miracles even if the miracle doesn't get to last very long.  I am so grateful that my nephew Teagan is doing so well in his heart journey right now and pray that things will continue to go well for him.  Teagan is a miracle that has blessed our family in more ways than one.  Along with Teagan, I would have to say that my family has also been blessed with two other miracles Mason and Scout.  When Mason was born, I was so excited to be an aunt and looking back I am grateful for the miracle of a healthy nephew.  Mason is now 7 years old and is such an amazing brother to Teagan.  Scout is another new miracle in our family.  Yes, she was also a healthy baby like Mason was but she is a miracle in her own way.  We weren't quite sure when we would get to meet her since my wonderful sister had such a challenging time getting pregnant but when we heard that my sister was pregnant, I knew it was a special blessing.  I feel honored to be Teagan's, Mason's, and Scout's aunt Coke and I hope to have many more miracles to come in our family.
