Dear Scout Monroe...

July 3, 2012 was quite a special day when you were born.  I will never be able to express how overwhelmed with excitement I am now that you are here.  I hope you realize the miracle that you are since it seems like just yesterday your beautiful mom was walking out of a Carl's Jr. with tears in her eyes telling us that she wasn't pregnant.  That day was such a sad day but other than Mason's innocence being the thing to make things a little better, there was also something inside of me that knew one day you would come.  Heavenly Father just had a little bit different plan for your mom that through the tears and heartache that all of our family felt, you my little Scoutie have made it all worth it.

Being the amazing aunt that I am, I want to let you in on a few things that you should know.  You might have figured them out already but just in case I think I better tell you.  You are now part of an incredible family where each individual person brings something special.  There is a whole lot of love in our family and I hope you are feeling it.  I can't wait until you can meet all of us so you will be able to decide for yourself what you think but I thought I should tell you about two people that you have already met.  You are very lucky to have the mom that you have because she is quite the gal.  She always has been an amazing sister to me and I know she will be an amazing mother to you.  She is beautiful in ever single way and you should always remind her of that.  She works really hard at everything she does and has such passion with many things like our country and also tambourines.  Your mom can be constant entertainment so never be afraid to laugh at her.  She also has a spiritual side to her that when you are around her you know of the testimony that she has and her great love of the Savior.  I love my sister so much and am grateful for the example that she has set for me.  I know that she will be such a great example to you too so you should watch her very carefully.  Your mom is a great listener so never be afraid to talk to her.  Also we can't forget about another amazing lady that you have already met, your Grandma Dee.  Let's just say she is the women who I want to be.  She is absolutely perfect in every way, words just can't describe it.  You are so lucky because you will have a grandma on the General Board and not many people can say that because your Grandma is a spiritual giant.  The way she lives her life is so admirable as she puts everyone before herself.  I am sure you already know that since she is out there helping your mom and not getting any sleep so that she can make sure you are ok.  Your Grandma Dee is also a very hard worker and I have  recently learned a little more about the work that she does.  While she is out there enjoying you, I have tried to help out with Grandpa's business and do the things that Grandma Dee does but it is quite the challenge and I am only doing a small amount of it.  The mail never stops coming and there is always so much to do.  Some helpful hints to keep your wonderful Grandma Dee happy are as followed: don't touch the glass (Grandma Dee doesn't like fingerprints), a clean home is a happy home, wipe your water spots, and luckily you don't have to worry about watching your dribbles.  If you can't find Grandma Dee in the house don't be scared, just look outside and she will be mowing the lawn or sweeping the gutters.  Scout are you understanding what two amazing women you have been blessed with?  We are so lucky to have them in our lives and we can't ever forget that.  They will always love you and will whatever it takes to make sure your needs our met.

My little Birdie Scoutie I am getting so excited to meet you.  I love knowing that you are still fresh from Heaven and still remember our loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  I also love that you were just with Big G, I really miss her but I am so glad that she was able to take care of you.  I am sure she told you about us and I hope she has forgiven us for the birds.  I may live far away but I never stop thinking about you.  Oh I almost forgot to tell you about my names, it can be confusing as so many people like to call me different things but I will let you decide what you want to call me.  Please just make sure it is a positive name that is uplifting.  Did I tell you that I love you?  I really really do!  See ya soon my first niece!!

Love,
Your Favorite Centerville Aunt Coke
