Lunch, Parties, Dinner, Games, and New Traditions...
This weekend and last weekend have been quite the adventures!! It all started two weekends ago when I had lunch with my amazing friend Cortnee! Not only is she cool because of her name but well I just love her! I wrote about her on my other blog a while ago but for those who don't know her, we met in college when we became roomies and we have had so many great memories!! The best memory would probably be when we got snuggies! Recently Cort decided to join the married club and will be getting married at the end of the month!!! Since I have been a member of the married club for a whole eight months now, we decided we should have lunch and I could talk to her about the excitement of marriage and helpful hints..if you know what I mean! Cort and I had a class together in college and we were pretty much connected at the hip so this would be the pic that we used to always take...unfortunately I am a little taller than her so our hips don't exactly connect but close enough :).... Later that day we celebrated Emma's birthday and went to dinner..we even brought our good friend Nic along... Every so often the Newly Married couples in our ward get together and have a little party!!! It is always super fun, I love that we actually know people now! Yay! You finally get to meet Kylea (pictured left)! She is my other really really good friend in the ward! Then hopefully you remember Heidi (right) from our previous camping post! All I have to say about these girls is that they are the best! I have always wanted cute girl friends when I got married and guess what...I found some! I always have so much with them and I look forward to see what else we will do! This weekend we all decided to go to dinner at a restaurant that a guy in our ward owns! The dinner conversation was great! Oh and no we did not plan on coordinating our outfits so well! After dinner the Jensen's invited us to their place to play games! Oh and the guy next to Kylea is her hubbie Eric! Kylea was not cold...the warm hat was part of the game Quelf! If you haven't played it I suggest that you play it! It is hard to explain the game without actually playing it but Trevor had to create a snorkel and use it the whole game... Ryan had just slapped himself while he was acting out his card...no worries it was all apart of the game... Next round I had to keep my thumbs in my mouth and Heidi had to pretend Ryan was her dummie... Trevor then had to put the game box up his shirt and sing while he still had the snorkel...The more I think of it...Kylea and Eric really never had to do anything embarrassing but the rest of us did...I think they planned it haha Now it is time to announce our new tradition... Trevor and I decided that we really loved camping and we want to do it again but the only problem was that we really didn't have our own stuff but guess what...now we do!!! We bought a tent and a blow up mattress! We couldn't just let it sit in a box though, we decided to set it up in our TV room and start a tradition! Our tradition is called Camping for Conference!!! This conference we slept in our tent and woke up and watched conference in our tent and had a blast! From now on we will always do it and I am so excited! We will even do it with our kids and I hope they will love it as much as we do! Our tent is sweet! We love it and I think it is even kind of cute with the orange! This is it with the rain cover on... And this is it without the cover so we could look at the stars or I guess I should say the ceiling... Here is Trevor exploring the tent...Now we can't wait to actually go camping in it!!! Oh and I just thought I might add...Conference was so good!!!! Our church leaders are amazing and I am already looking forward to October!

ReplyDeleteYou look "Reagan" hot with those black boots! Love it. It makes me laugh that you are now the one giving helpful hits about marriage out. Love so much that you have a fun group of married friends to hang out with. I love the friends that one makes after being married. How great that you have a tent to watch conference in? It is very King Benjamin of you all. 18 more days until I can give you a little lick!
