So much to blog in so little time...

Alright I need to make this quick but I have really been wanting to blog about all of the excitement!  And yet again the pics are not in the right order...they are most recent to latest but oh well!

To keep our tradition alive we did Camping for Conference again!! It was so fun and conference was so great of course!

For my Wonderful Mom's birthday she wanted to go to the elephant parade so I met my parents, Brytt, and the boys at Gateway!  We ate corn dogs and sat by the fountain...Mason really wanted to play in the fountains and promised he wouldn't get wet but as hard as he tried he still got wet!  Then we found out that the elephant parade was canceled :( I am sorry mom!

Sept 19th was my birthday and everyone was so good to me ESPECIALLY my husband!  Thank you everyone!  The weekend before the 19th we met my parents in Park City for dinner and amazing dessert!  We were so excited to take my parents to our favorite restaurant, we hope they liked it!

Aren't my parents a good looking couple!?

My hot hubbie is rocking his U hat after our domination of BYU!!! GO UTES!

I was very lucky when Sue picked me for one of the Rascal Flatts tickets (Thanks Sue)!!  It was a hard battle but I am pretty sure that I am the biggest country fan in the family!  Rascal Flatts was a blast and finally I didn't stand out too much with my crazy dancing because there were a lot of drunks who were having a really great time around us!

Was that quick enough?!  Life is still crazy but all is well!  I had my interview to get into the education program last week and now I get to play the waiting game to see if I got in! Keep your fingers crossed for please!  Trevs is working hard in school, being amazing, and now is rocking the shaved head again...

Don't worry we shaved it all..we didn't leave it like this!  We were just testing some things out! Haha

Just When I Thought Trevor Couldn't Get Any Hotter...

Trevor totally got hotter over the weekend...it was 112 degrees in the AZ and well that is just hot! Trevor's favorite mission companion Elder Holladay got married in AZ over the weekend and we wanted to go so bad so we tried everything to make it happen!  Our journey started early early Friday morning...4:45 am early to hurry and make sure we had everything packed and ready.  We we wanted to be on the road no  later than 6:00am and we were on our way at 5:40am :)  Trevor drove the whole 11 hours and I slept for the first 3 OOPS!  As soon as I got my three hours in I was a very fun and entertaining co-pilot!  We took the jeep because the seats are a lot more comfortable and because it has a sweet dvd player and sound system that we were able to watch movies on or I guess I was able to watch movies on and Trevor was able to listen to them.  After only two stops we finally made it to our destination.  As we pulled up to our hotel we were blown away!!  The place was amazing and so fancy!  I felt kind of embarrassed pulling up in our Jeep and wearing sweats while the cars around us included Bentleys and Ferraris and anything else that you wouldn't normally see in Centerville, UT.  Even though I felt like we didn't fit in when we first arrived everyone was still really nice to us!

While on our trip we decided we would like to bring a photographer with us because all of our pictures look like Facebook pics and that is so lame!  We don't want the photographer to be around all the time because we really did have a lot of fun with just being on a trip by ourselves but whenever we wanted a pic we wanted someone to pop out of nowhere and take it for us so we could have some really great pictures!  So I will apologize now for some of the awkward Facebook pics and please know that it wasn't always by choice to have pics so close to our face haha!

Here is a pic of part of our room...from the bathroom you could see our bed...the picture probably doesn't do the room justice..it was so awesome!!

After freshening up and putting some things away in our room we decided to do some exploring and some shopping...in the back of the pic you will see a store called Last Chance which is like The Rack but more DI looking...some of the stuff there was way amazing and cheap but I started to get a little stressed and overwhelmed...we did find some killer deals though!
Elder Holladay was getting married in the Mesa Temple so we decided to drive to the temple to make sure that we could find it...this pic is of us sitting on a bench in front of the temple but unfortunately you can't see it...For those of you who have never been to Mesa Temple before let me explain something...It was our first time going there too and as we were following the GPS we began to question if we were in the right area we were in kind of a run down neighborhood when suddenly we turned a corner and there it was!  The temple is really pretty and the actual grounds are nice too but the surrounding area is definitely not what you would expect and is nothing like the Salt Lake Temple...

Wahoo! We got the temple in the background!
While we were chilling on the Temple grounds Elder Holladay called us and asked us to come over...we were both so excited and it was so fun to hang out with him and his soon to be wife...Trevor and Elder Holladay were as I have been told the perfect companions...it really is true though...seeing them together is pretty cute as cheesy as that sounds haha!

Funny story...after hanging out for a bit we were on our way back to our resort when we decided that we were dying of thirst and that we should stop and buy a pack of water bottles since hotel water bottles are like $20.  We were a little nervous because we weren't sure where to stop and what would be considered safe but we finally found a grocery store.  Trevor said that he saw a BMW in the parking lot so we should be fine.  As soon as we walked in people started staring at us but this time it wasn't because we didn't look nice enough...I am not trying to be rude but let's just say you would have had to look more like my Uncle Justin than looking the way we did...we decided just to hurry and grab water and try not look at any one in the eye..at the check out the cashier gave me a look that pretty much was like saying, "Girl you should not be here." Scary right?! Once we left all we could do is laugh about it because after it was all done it was pretty funny!

Saturday morning before the wedding we decided that going to breakfast would take too long and might make us smell bad so we decided to order room service...I still don't understand why the thought and the look of room service is so much better than actually eating it...
After our interesting room service we decided to get ready and leave extra early for the temple because we kept thinking about how horrible it would be if we got stuck in traffic and missed it...we would have traveled 11 hours for nothing...that was not going to happen so we left early and arrived super early but it worked out because they had a visitor center and we decided to walk around there...people looked at us funny (for some reason it felt like people looked at us a lot) but I think that is just because we are Utah Mormons...in other words it is kind of like being famous jk...in this pic I am still trying to decide if Trevor is winking at the camera because he is hot or if he is winking at the camera because that is what he used to do when he was a little boy OR because the sun is in his eyes...I think I am going to put my bets on the first one...
I love this pic of the temple that Trevor took..it is so pretty

And here is a picture of the reason why we really came!  I look super tall...

We were so glad that after all of the wedding fun we were able to go to dinner with my cousin Bo and Darryn...We had tons of fun with them even when we asked them if they knew anything about the grocery store we went to...they said, "You didn't go in there right?" haha they could have told us that was not a good place to go into..too bad we talked to them after about it

This is at the front of the hotel and where our Jeep is parked is usually where they would park the fancy cars but when we walked out to leave it was parked right there...We couldn't be more proud of our Jada!

Our trip was over quick and even though it felt like most of the trip was driving, it was still tons of fun!  We appreciate how welcoming the Holladays were and for how nice Bo and Darryn were to wait for us to get done with all of the wedding things! We can't wait to go back to visit!  Thanks Trevs for driving so much and letting me sleep the way down there and for being so patient with all of my picture taking!

July 28TH=BEST DAY EVER!!!

I have a feeling that every July 28th will be amazing because as of July 28, 2010 it has not let me down! It was crazy celebrating our One Year Anniversary!  I must say that the day was perfect and my husband was so so good to me, you would have thought it was just my birthday instead of our day! I still think that I am the luckiest girl ever because I know that I am!  I get so giddy every time I see Trevor and I am so glad that our relationship keeps getting stronger and stronger!  I love being Cortney Wortley even though it rhymes and people think it is hilarious because I couldn't be happier!  I definitely feel blessed to have a husband like Trevor and wouldn't trade anything in the world for him!

This is how our amazing day went...

We started off by driving to Park City where we had our honeymoon and went shopping at the outlets..Don't you love my shirt!?
Then we drove by the Waldorf where we stayed during our honeymoon..That hotel is amazing!!
Then of course we had to eat at Baja Cantina...the best Mexican restaurant ever!
To end the perfect day we rented a Red Box...
But of course we had to get a concrete to enjoy with the movie...

It is crazy to think that the following pics happened a year ago...I would totally do it all over again!!

I look forward to many many more July 28ths!!!!

Let the Pictures Explain...

Luckily between school and work we have been able to find some time for some fun....
We went to the Days of 47 Rodeo with the Bartons and my parents! My mom and I love cotton candy because it has more than one use ;)
Trevs and I love the Rodeo...
I love going to the rodeo with my parents because they share the passion of Rodeo with me...
It was Heidi's first rodeo but I don't think she loved it as much as me...
We are so proud to be friends...
A couple of weekends ago we went to the Farmington Festival where Heidi and I got super cute feather headbands... but before we got to the festival we made a stop for gelato!
Of course Trevs had to get Raspberry...
July is my favorite month because of the Rodeos and of course our anniversary....we went to the West Jordan Rodeo twice..this is us with our special passes to go to the box...
July is our month to pretend to be a cowboy family...thanks dad for keeping the tradition alive all year long...
Here is my dad and his twin Kevin by the chutes...
Still loving the rodeo....
I loved having a husband at the rodeo...
To prove we can't get enough of the rodeos we also went to the Oakley rodeo...this is Trevor enjoying it so so much...
In front of the Oakley Cabin...
The girl cousins...
It was also amazing having a husband at Lake Powell...
Jayne and me being gangstas while hanging out...
Wortley's got a dog named Boomer so we decided to take a family pic...
I am trying to support Trevor and his love of golf so one day we went to hit a bucket of balls...I will admit I am pretty much a pro...
But Trevor is still better...of course...
